My 2016 year was full of wonderfully sweet couples who planned some of the most heartfelt, beautiful celebrations of love to share with their family and friends. Wedding season for me began in April, with an intimate wedding in Portland that came together after just a few months of planning, and the season wound down with a sweet wedding at my favorite venue in Camden. In between, there were trips to Biddeford Pool, Kennebunkport, Wiscasset, Bath, Southport Island, Harpswell, Rockport, and Bailey Island. I even had the chance to work alongside some of my dearest friends while documenting their talents for our clients.
I photographed four dogs as wedding guests, ten grandparents sharing sentiments of wisdom, and five getaways by boat. My first special needs couple had me in a puddle of tears as they shared their first dance, while another weekend, the heartfelt and humorous words of a brother-turned-best man had me wiping away tears of laughter. There were fireworks, sparklers, handcrafted chuppahs, and even a Land Rover Defender bedecked in flowers. But mostly, there was love – a lot of it. And joy. And laughter. And the kind of happiness that sends you home with a full heart, knowing that you were given the opportunity to capture it all.
A special thanks to the couples who invited me to share in one of their happiest days, their families who made me feel welcome, and the vendors who continually make my job easier. Cheers to a wonderful year!

Emily & Ryan invited all of their loved ones up to Maine to help them celebrate their marriage in the Midcoast towns of Rockport & Camden. The two were married in a beautifully heartfelt ceremony at the Rockport Opera House. While the guests were being whisked away to nearby Camden for the festivities at the Yacht Club, Emily & Ryan hopped aboard the stunning Thunderhead, Emily’s uncle’s boat, and cruised over to their reception to continue the fun!
Working with these two and their wonderful family over the last few months was such a treat. I so enjoyed seeing this day come together just perfectly, thanks to the fabulous Kristen of Beehive Creative Events. The day was made even more memorable thanks to the always incredible Trillium Caterers, Belladonna Floral, A Sweet Start, and Alison Bogannan.
The following are just a handful of my absolute favorites from this lovely fall wedding – enjoy!

This was just one of those wedding days that had me smiling from start to finish. I’d say it’s nearly impossible to spend any amount of time around Nina & Margaret and not realize how incredibly special and beautiful their connection is. I think their closest family and friends would agree with me. The joy that Nina & Margaret’s wedding guests felt for this sweet couple was contagious, and that happiness was present in every smile, every laugh, every tear, every toast, and every dance shared over the course of their weekend-long wedding celebration at the Newagen Seaside Inn on Southport Island.
Nina, Margaret, and their precious dog, Birdie, made October 1st a dream of a wedding for me. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to witness such a memorable, beautiful celebration of love.
A special thanks to Emily of Emily Elizabeth Events for her talents at making sure everything went and looked just perfectly and Sarah of Watershed Floral for creating the most beautiful fall floral arrangements I couldn’t stop photographing!
The following are just a handful of my favorite photographs from this very special day – enjoy!

Doria & Trent were married earlier this month on the most splendid of September afternoons! It was a privilege to be there and witness this wonderful celebration of love alongside all of Doria & Trent’s closest family and friends. From the beautiful invitations the bride designed herself to the amazingly heartfelt toasts given by each of their mothers, Doria & Trent’s wedding day was filled with so many genuine reminders of love and care.
It was a particularly special day to work alongside Meagan of Maine Season Events. Six years ago to the day we’d both traveled to Camden to work our first wedding together – another wonderfully sweet couple whose ceremony was at the Amphitheatre, followed by a reception at the Yacht Club. Being back in Camden with Meagan exactly six years later was so fitting and was yet another reminder of how fortunate I am to work alongside such talented vendors with such amazing clients.
The following images are just a few favorites from this truly wonderful day in Camden – enjoy!

What an exceptional wedding day in Wiscasset this month! Genevieve & Ed’s wedding was was my only wedding at Marianmade this year and I have to say that it was one of my very favorite weddings at Marianmade Farm thus far. Genevieve and Ed were a dream to photograph together and working alongside the talented Sarah of Daisies & Pearls and my own mother, Michelle Peele Floral, is always so much fun for me. The following photos are just a very small sampling of my many favorites from this most lovely day. Enjoy!

I’m still getting around to sharing a few more weddings from 2015 right in the middle of the 2016 wedding season… All of us vendors were more than excited to see photos from Meg & Erik’s wedding on Brides this spring. The results from the feature were pretty humorous, given the fact that there was a celebrity in the bridal party – there were photos on US Magazine, Glamour, and more, along with an onscreen credit on Good Morning America one day this summer.
Celebrity gossip aside, Meg & Erik’s wedding at Marianmade was so much fun for all of us involved. Meg’s personality is as vibrant as her beautiful red hair, making her a dream to photograph. It’s always a treat to work with Sarah of Daisies & Pearls, and to have the chance to shoot my mother’s floral designs.
The following are just a handful of my favorites, but you can see lots more and read Meg’s interview on Brides.

Borrowing on a tradition from Meghan of B Merry Events that I’ve always loved, I thought I’d share a few favorite photos from Emma & Derek’s wedding as they celebrate their first anniversary today. Everything about this wedding – the couple, their families, the setting, the vendors, and more – made this day so lovely, it’s no wonder it was one of my favorite weddings from 2015!
Emma & Derek’s family and friends gathered at Camp Mataponi, the quintessential Maine summer camp on the shores of Lake Sebago to help them celebrate their marriage. Guests that stayed on site were able to participate in camp activities such as swimming, kayaking, and lawn games throughout the weekend. The celebration formally kicked off the night before the wedding with a lobster bake, followed by a camp bonfire. Everyone agreed that it felt like summer camp for adults.
The following photos are just a few of my many favorites from this spectacular day. Happy anniversary, Emma & Derek!
